Carbon Capture & Wastewater Reuse

Consultancy on the implementation of a carbon capture and storage project
in conjunction with industrial wastewater reuse for irrigation

Approach

TransAsia TanTec Ltd is currently operating a tannery in Trang Bang Town, Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam, and is interested in capturing and compensating CO2 emissions by internal means and under its own responsibility within the company’s premises.

To this end, an unused area of approximately 10.000 square meters could be used for the implementation of the so-called “C to the Power of 3”-concept (C3), which captures carbon in fast-growing biomass plantations in conjunction with decentralised wastewater treatment.

The concept also includes the infinite carbon storage in underground pits and / or in Terra Preta products that can even be sold for soil improvement in agriculture.

Objectives

The project will add to the TransAsia TanTec’s outstanding environmental reputation and will contribute to a CO2-neutral or even CO2-negative production.

While removing CO2 from the atmosphere, actively fight global warming and hence create a global impact, the project strives to make a difference on the ground, too, by creating forest coverage and increased biodiversity.
