Journey of Carbon Solutions International in the Green Tech Incubator program
Carbon Solutions International is proud to have participated in the Green Tech Incubator program, an initiative supported by the Digital Transformation Center Vietnam and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The program, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH Vietnam in collaboration with Vietnam's National Innovation Center of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, provided us with the resources and knowledge to develop our solution to deal with sewage sludge and agricultural feedstock.
As part of the program, we joined 46 other applicants and were selected as one of the top 20 best startups to undergo a one-month training on Design Thinking and Lean Startup bootcamp. Through this intensive training, we honed our skills in developing innovative solutions that are not only sustainable but also profitable.
Following this training, we went through the first stage of the program, Crash Test 1, where we were pleased to be selected as one of the 12 startups to continue their final journey with the Incubator. Over the course of several workshops, coaching sessions, and training, we were able to refine our solution and bring it to the Demo Day on 24th March 2023, where we Carbon Solutions International with 11 other startups delivered our final pitches.
Our solution was unique in that it focused on turning waste into value products, such as biochar, which could generate carbon credits. This innovative approach helped us stand out from other solutions and ultimately led us to win 4th place at the Demo Day, along with the prestigious "The SEA" award of the program.
Our journey with Green Tech Incubator was not just about developing a solution, but also about our commitment to protecting the environment in the midst of the climate crisis era. Through our participation in the program, we were able to connect with like-minded individuals who share our passion for sustainability and a greener future.
