Visit the first community-managed natural forests, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council

We are very pleased to explore cooperation with MCNV - For health and development in South East Asia and to visit one of their projects: the first community-managed natural forests, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for non-timber forest products in Huong Phung commune and Huong Son commune, Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province, Vietnam. These forests are managed mostly by Pakoh and Bru Van Kieu ethnic groups .
We are together developing a project with the community in which biochar is produced from bamboo from these forests and at the same time, we are also aiming for generating additional income to enhance the quality of life for the ethnic minority groups in the project area.
Sustainable development is always a criterion that Carbon Solutions International aims for, so the raw materials for our bamboo biochar products are sourced from companies or individuals operating under FSC certification.
